Giving and Expecting

When you fulfill a good deed or do a favour, do you expect something in return? Some say that, if you are expecting something back, then it is not really ‘giving’. Even so, why do some of us do things for others, by even going immense lengths and going out of our way? Very few of us are actually happy to help others, expecting no outcome for themselves. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

So what is the subliminal (or not!) intention of the majority of us? – assuming that a lot of us believe in some sort of life after dead. Good Karma or qualifying to enter the gates of Heaven? – quite likely, but that again means doing something with the notion of gaining something for our own benefits ultimately.

So:

Do good for personal fulfillment and nothing else 🙂
